Board Certification for Individual professionals

Who can be Board Certified by BIMAC Board ?

A board-certified cosmetic or medical aesthetic professional is an individual professional who has successfully completed specialized training and examinations in the field of cosmetic or aesthetic medicine. Professionals have demonstrated expertise in various clinical beauty, non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures. Their qualifications include specialized trainings specific to cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. Board Certification belongs to the individual who is doing the relevant treatments. It does not qualify or certify the clinic or salon itself or the products, devices that are used during the treatments.

The Board Certification exam preparation course covers - depending on the Board Certificate type - areas such as:

Botulinum Toxin (Botox) injections and/or

Dermal fillers for volume restoration and/or

Laser treatments for skin rejuvenation and/or

Chemical peels for skin resurfacing and/or

Cosmetic dermatology techniques


Board Certification : To achieve board certification, professionals must pass rigorous exams administered by BIMAC Board.

Continuing Education : Board-certified professionals stay updated with the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine through continuous learning and attending conferences.

Ethical Practice : Board-certified professionals adhere to ethical standards, prioritize patient well-being, and provide evidence-based treatments.

Routes to the BIMAC Board Certificate Titles:

1: Exam Based Board Certificate

Attendance and Completion of all Steps of Board Certification Course at BIMAC Accredited Academy/Institute and passing the BIMAC Certification Exam.

 2: Experience and case study  Based Board Certificate 

Minimum of 2 years experience on the relevant field proven with 8 case studies according to specific coordinations.

As part of this Board Certificate qualification professionals are required to produce a portfolio of evidence.                A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that they have learnt. It must be in electronic format. BIMAC Board provides guidance on how to prepare the portfolio of evidence and how to show practical achievement, and understanding of the knowledge required to successfully complete this qualification. 

Evidence in the portfolio may take the following forms: 

• Projects 

• Observed work 

• Witness statements 

• Audio-visual media 

• Evidence of prior learning or attainment 

• Case studies 

• Professional discussion
